Proofs
Proofs from events and sessions can be seen through our separate storefront, which is managed by PrintRoom.com. After capturing the images for the event, we prepare proofs from them, which includes review for image quality, minor adjustments and cropping; we then organize and upload the proofs to our PrintRoom web-site. This is a step omitted by some photographers, but we think it is critical to ensuring a satisfying result for you, the customer. Note that this step does not include color correction, as color will vary depending on individual monitor calibration.
At this point, the proof thumbnails are available for viewing and ordering. When you place an order, we are notified and will prepare the images for printing using a calibrated monitor for color accuracy. This preparation includes cropping the images to the appropriate size for the print, correcting the color, and making image adjustments that result in an image that you will enjoy for years to come. A key part of this process is calibrating the image color for the printer and paper used by the lab; this ensures that the color on the print matches our specification exactly and eliminates guesswork.

The lighting conditions of certain events, such as indoor agility trials, may cause us to restrict the print sizes that are available for order. This is due to having to use high film speed camera settings for these events, which will cause excessive graininess of larger prints.
Electronic proofs of events are kept on-line for approximately 1 year, after which they are archived for long term retention. If you would like to order images from an archived event, just drop us a line by clicking the 'By Request' link for the event.
